The Ranchi District Youth Durga Puja Security Committee convened a crucial meeting on Sunday at the OCC Club Durga Puja Committee premises on Main Road to strategize for the upcoming festival. The primary focus of the gathering was to ensure a smooth, secure, and convenient experience for all devotees during Durga Puja, which culminated in the formal announcement of the committee’s new executive body for the year.
Addressing the attendees, Chief Patron Munchun Rai emphasized that the committee’s core objective is to work in seamless coordination with the district administration to safeguard devotees. He assured that during peak hours at major puja pandals, the committee’s dedicated volunteers will actively step in to assist the administration with crowd management. Chief Advisor Ashok Purohit echoed these sentiments, expressing his unwavering confidence in the volunteers’ selfless service and praising the committee as a shining example of social dedication and discipline.
Newly appointed President Krishna Mishra outlined strict new guidelines for this year’s celebrations, announcing a zero-tolerance policy toward alcohol consumption during the festival. To proactively combat heavy traffic congestion, the committee will conduct an awareness march urging citizens to avoid using four-wheelers while visiting pandals. Additionally, Mishra mandated that medical kits be readily available at all major puja locations across the city to provide immediate assistance during health emergencies.
The meeting proceeded with Munchun Rai officially declaring the new executive committee and congratulating the newly appointed office bearers. The senior leadership team features Chief Patrons Munchun Rai, Rajendra Singh, Alok Sahu, and Ashok Choudhary, alongside Senior Patrons Jitendra Singh, Umang Sultania, and Rahul Agarwal. Ashok Purohit and Kunal Ajmani will serve as Chief Advisors, while the Patron Board includes Amrit Raman, Nishant Yadav, Shashikant Tiwari, Monu Shukla, and Sujit Singh. The coordinating operations will be led by Convenors Sandeep Gupta, Shubham Purohit, Sonu Singh, and Nitish Mishra, with Neeraj Gupta assisting as Co-convenor.
The core administrative responsibilities were entrusted to President Krishna Mishra, Working President Amit Kumar Harshveer, and Secretary Deepak Gupta. The rural outreach efforts will be managed by Rural President Shiv Choudhary and Rural Secretary Vinay Kesari. The committee also appointed a robust team of Vice Presidents, including Vipul Mishra, Nishant Chauhan, Kumar Animesh, Ravi Agarwal, Bhavesh Sharma, Shubham Sinha, and Bhushan. Kushagra Singh was named General Secretary, supported by Secretaries Amit Agarwal, Ravi Mishra, Kishan Modi, and Abhimanyu Anand. Chandrashekhar Das, Bobby Kumar, and Gaurav Kumar will act as Organization In-charges, while Sajan Kumar and Vikash Kumar take on media relations. The meeting saw a massive turnout of enthusiastic volunteers and executive members, including Ashish Kumar, Abhay Kumar Prasad, Aditya Kumar, Pawan Prabhakar, and Kamal Modi, all pledging to ensure a deeply disciplined, safe, and joyous Durga Puja for Ranchi.
