Father Benedict Barla, the principal of the Roman Catholic Boys Middle School, became the target of a life-threatening attack that has sent shockwaves through the educational fraternity and civil society alike. The brazen strike on an esteemed community figure has brought law enforcement capabilities directly into question, prompting calls for an urgent structural overhaul of local policing.
Reacting strongly to the incident, the All India Christian Minority Front registered profound alarm over the deteriorating security apparatus. Highlighting the broader social implications of the violence, the organization emphasized that when individuals dedicated to academic institutions and social upliftment are no longer safe, the vulnerability of ordinary citizens multiplies exponentially. The front stressed that violence against educators strikes at the very foundation of community trust and public order.
Praveen Kachhap, National Executive President of the All India Christian Minority Front, criticized the habitual administrative routine of issuing passive statements and empty assurances following violent episodes.
